Welcome to Embodied Presence: Introduction to the Journey
Dear Friend,
Here at the Eckhart Tolle Foundation, we are aware that incarceration has a profound impact not only on those who are inside, but also on the people who love and support them. Family members, friends, formerly incarcerated individuals, and those working alongside justice-impacted communities often carry a deep longing to support healing and well-being. We believe that Eckhart Tolle’s teachings can be a beacon of hope in those storms.
This course was created as a parallel offering to the teachings shared through our partnership with Edovo, a nonprofit learning platform that makes educational and rehabilitative content available to over 1.2 million incarcerated learners across the United States.
In this course, you’ll explore Eckhart’s core ideas about living in the present moment, letting go of painful thoughts, and discovering the peace and strength within you. This self-paced online video course can be accessed on your computer or phone, allowing you to move through it in the way that best honors your needs and circumstances.
Over these modules, you will begin with the foundations of Presence and then move into everyday practices for deepening it in daily life. Along the way, you will explore unconscious patterns such as reactivity, judgment, and emotional pain, and begin to recognize how the ego can keep us identified with old stories about ourselves and others.
By showing up for yourself, you are also helping to awaken something greater. You are part of a rising consciousness and a more compassionate world.
Thank you for your presence.
Warmly,
The Eckhart Tolle Foundation Team
